FIRST OFF – HOW ARE YOU GUYS AND WHATS IN THE WORKS FOR YOU AT THE MOMENT?
We just finished 14 tracks. now it´s time for a bunch of festivals. Hopefully new album in early 2008.

YOU GUYS STILL TOP THE CHARTS IN DENMARK, RIGHT?
Yes, whenever we have a new release, which is every second year.
WELL, DENMARK HAS A BETTER MUSIC SCENE THAN MOST OF THE WORLD THEN?
That´s hard to say. I personally love the Finnish rock scene.
YOU GUYS HAVE MANAGED TO REMAIN WITH ALMOST THE COMPLETE CLASSIC LINE-UP, ALL THESE YEARS LATER, WHATS YOUR SECRET?

ONE OF THE MOST DISTINCTIVE THINGS ABOUT D-A-D HAS ALWAYS BEEN JACOB’S GUITAR. IN THE SEA OF 80’S DISTORTION DRENCHED VAN HALEN CLONES, WHAT GAVE YOU THE INSPIRATION TO TRY SUCH A SMOOTH TONE?
I must have been the early punk roots, which turned into the country twang thing.
I STILL REMEMBER WHEN SLEEPING THE DAY AWAY CAME OUT, YOU GUYS SEEMED REAL AND WEREN’T ALL GLAMMED UP AND CHEESY LIKE THE HAIR BANDS, YOU GUYS REALLY ROCKED?

Yes. It worked out great.
NOW A NEW ALBUM IS ON THE WAY ALREADY!??
Well, next year probably. right now we´re still gathering material
WHEN CAN WE EXPECT IT?
Hopefully, early 2008.

IT TOOK A LONG TIME FOR THE LAST ONE TO GET OUT OF DENMARK; DO YOU ANTICIPATE SIMILAR PROBLEMS AGAIN?
We are looking for a company to distribute the album.
Unfortunately "Sanctuary" folded in germany , so we will be needing a company to distribute the album.
Anyone out there?? (laughs) |
