PLEASURE TO TALK TO YOU – HOW ARE YOU AND WHATS IN THE WORKS FOR YOU AT THE MOMENT? Warrant is having another busy year. We are on track for 50 shows in 2007.

YOU GUYS ARE OUT ON TOUR AT THE MOMENT, RIGHT? HOW’S THAT GOING SO FAR? It’s going great, we love playing live thank God, because that’s what we do all the time ha! ha! WHAT KIND OF SET CAN PEOPLE EXPECT FROM A WARRANT SHOW? We mostly play songs from the first two CD’s, the ones that sold millions and had all the songs we are known for. We throw in one new song from Born Again and we play Hold on to 18 from Black n Blue. YOU GUYS ARE OUT WITH FIREHOUSE. WE TALKED TO BILL NOT LONG AGO? We have the same agent as Firehouse and we play a lot of shows together every year. Very cool guys to be on the road with. YOU’VE ALSO BEEN GOING OUT WITH L.A. GUNS TOO; WE TALKED TO STACEY RECEANTLY AS WELL? The LA Guns are great. Stacey & the boys Rock n Roll with the best of them.

SO LAST YEARS ALBUM WAS WELL RECEIVED, HOW’S THE NEW LINE-UP AFTER ANOTHER YEAR? Things are tight and going good. We even have a few new songs floating around the camp. SO, CAN WE EXPECT IT TO LAST FOR A WHILE? I hope so! It’s a crazy fricking business in case you haven’t noticed (smiles).  WHAT ABOUT THE NEXT ALBUM? We are in live show mode right now, but we have some new song ideas flowing. IT MUST HAVE BEEN HARD TO REPLACE SOMEONE LIKE JANI, BUT THINGS SEEM TO HAVE TURNED OUT WELL FOR YOU GUYS? It’s always a bummer when band members come and go, but you have to roll with the changes.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO PEOPLE THAT SAY A WARRANT REUNION IS INEVITABLE SOON ENOUGH? I keep hoping the original Van Halen will get back together!! (winks) YOU HAD THE DVD OUT THIS YEAR TOO? The DVD turned out very cool and entertaining, check it out!  IT WAS ALWAYS RUMOURED (AND STILL IS  ON WIKIPEDIA!) THAT YOU PLAYED LITTLE TO NO GUITAR ON THE 1ST TWO ALBUMS IF ANY? I played my rhythm guitar parts on every song, so did Joey, we also played solos. Beau Hill brought in Mike Slamer to play some solos too.

PEOPLE OFTEN SITE MIKE SLAMER AS THE GUTARIST. C.C. DEVILLE OBVIOUSLY GUESTED ON CHERRY PIE? Looking back I wish we would have credited Slamer for the solos he played and the ones Joey and I played on the first CD. I played only rhythm guitars on Cherry Pie. Mike is a great guy, Beau Hill on the other hand is… SO HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL, AFTER ALL THIS TIME? I’m not a Beau Hill fan looking back, knowing what I know now. He stacked the cards against Joey and I, we had never made a record before. We were fucking green and he took advantage of that. It’s not something I think about ever till someone brings it up. It happens a lot more than people think in the music business. From Dog Eat Dog forward no Guest guitar solos. ANYWAY. SO YOU SEEM TO BE A GUY WITH MANY HOBBIES, I SEE YOU’RE A BIT OF A PAINTER? I used to enjoy painting, but I’m not into anymore. I have sold or given away most of my paintings. I have a few left for sale, then it’s all done. See ErikTurner.com if you want one.
