Metal Skool is the hilarious 80's metal parody band led by a charismatic singer, Michael Starr, and a talented guitarist, Satchel. They have been around for years, and are now really making waves in Hollywood. Probably the most popular cover band in the world, they take no prisoners with their attitude and retro style.
I caught up with the guys after their famous gig that Kelly Clarkeson ‘crashed’.

Yes I know this is crazy, but we have brought heavy Metal back to Hollywood!
YOU MUST BE ABOUT THE BIGGEST COVER BAND IN THE WORLD.
Well in ours we are!. I like to think of us as a STD but one that can’t be cured.
ESPECIALLY NOW WITH THE WHOLE KELLY THING?
Can you believe that? I’m so glad I had the opportunity to skool Kelly properly. I thinks she is going to sound good on our CD.

I THINK SHE MAY HAVE GAINED A FEW FANS FOR THAT HERSELF. DEFINATLEY A LITTLE MORE RESPECT, EVEN THOUGH SHE BUTCHERED A CLASSIC.

Q. DO YOU THINK YOUR POPULARITY SHOWS HOW DESPERATE THE SCENE IS FOR SOME NEW ROCK, I’D RATHER WATCH YOU GUYS THAN THE WHITE STRIPES OR SOME CRAP?
Well I think people want to fuckin Rock man. No more shoe gazers and baggy pants. Chicks want to see what a guys ass looks like before they take them home and support him.
