OVERVIEW
What can I say? It's Back In Black. One of the best rock albums ever made. In the seemingly impossible, the Young brother managed to pull together after the tragic death of Bon Scott and hire a new front man and record arguably their best album ever. Amazing. The cover says it all, no BS rock and roll in respect of Bon Scott. Which is exactly what was delivered.
SONGS
Its starts out with one their best tracks ever. The stirring Hells Bells, which can still manage a shiver down ones spine. The bells slowly chime in before Angus quietly brings up the mood, then BANG! Its off and racing, and never looks back. Straight into the brilliant Shoot To Thrill, which you cannot help but love. Sleazy rockers like Money Honey and the live classic, Giving The Dog A Bone continue the rock, and then the riff comes in with Back In Black. Can things get better than this? Well they continue the hit machine with You Shook Me before eventually closing up with another creeping riff on Noise Pollution, ending with a sing-a-long anthem, and you just keep singing.
CONCLUSION
It's a fans toss up between this an Highway To Hell, you cant top Bon's character and vocal delivery. But the songs on Back In Black are just so strong. If you don't already have them, get both and take a lesson in good 'ol bare bones hard rock. This is a history lesson for rockers and guitarists alike. Pity they never sounded this good again. Rock On.
